I have a MK1 Ford Focus, 1.8 TD DI with close to 90,000 miles on the clock. I usually fill my fuel tank to the brim with diesel once it reaches the quarter-line mark. This would cost me around £30 to bring it back up to the 'Full' mark. The problem is, I only seem to be averaging around 130-150 miles before I need to refill again.

The 1.6 TDCi is decent, but we'd choose the 1.8 TDCi or ideally, the 2.0 TDCi for its bigger muscle and six-speed in terms of assembling the fuel filter housing: 1) fuel filter housing is full to brim with diesel. 2) rubber seal ring goes on top. 3) filter clips onto the lid. 4) lid and filter goes onto housing. so the rubber ring is a seal between housing and filter top.

Posted September 21, 2013. Hi all, have a 2005 1.8 TDCi estate. On acceleration i seem to have major lag, as i wont get any boost till atleast 1800 rpm, by which point i want to change gear. I have changed fuel filter, air filter, blocked egr. but made no difference. i also have a ratlle blade sound at approx 2200 - 2300 rpm and a sucking noise
