The Hasegawa Me 262 in 1/32 scale. This kit reached the shelves during the (first) Hasegawa 1/32 golden age, along with the Bf 109, the P-51 and the Fw 190. Curiously, this kit was released just after the Revell offering in the seventies. My sample box art. I think the last box to be issued was the Galland commemorative issue.

The construction of pre-production aircraft designated Me262 A-0 started in April 1944 but the fighter production version that should have been the first version to be mass-produced was delayed because of Hitler's strict contrary orders prioritizing the deployment of fighter/bomber A-2a version.

This is my first HB kit so can't say how the 163 is. I found the 262 to be good for the low price the kits usually go for, you have to be prepared for some minor fitment and detailing issues but nothing too bad IMO. Haven't had any misnumbered parts or incomplete instructions at all. The 262 kit even includes a gun bay.
